Lorna McCormack MSc is a dynamic Founder and Director of Wool in School, an innovative educational initiative dedicated to integrating the fascinating world of wool into school curriculums. With a MSc in Agricultural Innovation from the University of Galway, Lorna comes from a Social Care background, is fluent in Irish Sign Language, and a professional Fibre Artist.
Lorna’s ability to blend education with sustainability and art has earned her recognition as a thought leader in her field. Frequently speaking at industry conferences, advocating for climate justice and emphasising a stronger connection between art, education, climate change, and agriculture. Her work continues to inspire curiosity and action, making a lasting impact on both the community and students, while promoting climate action.

Now with associations across the world and locally Lorna McCormack is also a partner with Project Dandelion, a female-led global campaign for climate justice. As a Climate Leader and an European Climate Pact Ambassador, Lorna recognises that every issue is intertwined with climate issues, including the educational initiative focused on wool education and climate-smart skills.
