Lorna McCormack, a dedicated community leader, firmly believes that true power lies in connection. She holds a Master of Science in Agricultural Innovation from the University of Galway. Fluent in Irish Sign Language, Lorna began her career supporting deaf children and their families, eventually founding Simply Signing to aid parents in communicating with their children using ISL. In 2019, she launched Wool in School, which integrates Climate Smart Skills and heritage into classrooms across Ireland.
As a European Climate Pact Ambassador, Lorna McCormack exemplifies how climate leadership can be deeply rooted in community, tradition, and education, transcending mere policy or politics. Her dual focus on sustainability and empowerment serves as an inspiring example, particularly for rural and educational sectors throughout Ireland.
A talented Fibre artist and author of children's books, as well as a Heritage in Schools Specialist, Lorna uses her creativity to bridge the past, present, and future. With a humanitarian spirit, she is grounded in a strong belief in inclusion, heritage, and amplifying voices to inspire impactful change in modern Ireland.
