My Message for social Justice

Inclusion is more than a slogan - it is a lifelong commitment. From founding Simply Signing to support deaf children and families, to working with older people, I have always prioritized dignity and equality while amplifying voices across various communities, including farmers and vulnerable groups. My focus is to ensure that every voice is represented, valued, and heard, driving real social change through community leadership and honouring heritage through sustainability initiatives.

Heritage is not only our past - it is a tool for our future, amplifying voices and honouring heritage. It's a gift we inherit and our duty to safeguard for generations to come. As a fibre artist and heritage educator, I have celebrated Irish crafts, farming traditions, and storytelling while linking them to sustainability initiatives and climate education. My focus is to ensure that heritage and innovation go hand in hand, inspiring resilience at home and strengthening Ireland’s cultural voice abroad.

Sustainability is about addressing the whole picture, from how we live and work to how we care for the land and each other. Through my Climate Smart Skills initiative and my role as a European Climate Pact Ambassador, I have been amplifying voices in communities and inspiring children to embrace sustainability initiatives and a new vision. My focus is to support Ireland as a global model of climate justice, honouring heritage while demonstrating how a small nation can lead with innovation, fairness, and a renewed focus.

I have spent my career standing up for fairness and dignity by amplifying voices across various sectors, including education, advocating for Irish Sign Language, children’s services, housing, gender equality, women's health, and inclusion for older people in work environments. Honouring heritage is essential to my approach, as I believe true justice means reimagining systems to support sustainability initiatives that allow everyone to thrive.

Our strength lies in our communities, our people, and our shared values, which play a crucial role in amplifying voices and honouring heritage. I am committed to building bridges—between rural and urban areas, young and older generations, as well as established communities and newcomers. I work at the intersection of climate action, community education, and social change, delivering practical sustainability initiatives and advocating for sustainable systems.
